Call for Reviewers

JAN is refreshing and extending its Panel of Reviewers. If you would like to join the Panel, please fill in the reviewer form referring to the keywords list and email to jan@wiley.com. Reviewers must hold a PhD in a relevant field. The Editorial Office will confirm receipt of your forms

The review process is now fully online (via ScholarOne Manuscripts) and so reviewing for JAN is both easy and efficient. Reviewers can also email the editors or JAN Office if they have any questions or concerns.

Helping develop expertise in reviewers is one of the responsibilities of the editorial team. Feedback is given to reviewers about the final decision on each paper reviewed and the other reviewer's anonymous report is also provided. This means that reviewing for JAN is an informative, two-way process. Being an active reviewer is an important and valuable activity for any research-active member of the professions. Reviewers are formally acknowledged and thanked in JAN at the end of each year.

Call for Nominations for Membership of the International Editorial Board

Nominations (including self-nominations) are invited for new membership of JAN’s International Editorial Board. The Board plays an important role in contributing to the ongoing improvement and development of this prestigious international journal. We particularly welcome nominations for members from Japan, India and Scandinavia, as well as from nurse consultants, clinical nurse specialists, nurse directors and chief nurses based in the UK.

Nominations (and self-nominations) to the Board are invited when required through advertisement in the Journal and on JAN’s website.

Decisions on nominations are usually made by the editorial team in April, for a four-year term commencing on the first of July. Please send your nomination form to the Editorial Office by the end of February 2009 if you wish to be considered for membership of the Editorial Board commencing at the beginning of July 2009.

To submit your nomination please complete and save the Nomination Form and send it by email with a short CV (maximum of 4 pages) to the JAN Editorial office (jan@wiley.com).
